Services for Calvin Allen of Monticello are 11 a.m., Monday,Oct. 13, 2003, at Mt. Zion MB Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, from 2-7 p.m. with familyhour from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen, 44, died Oct. 8, 2003, in Brookhaven. He was born inWesson on June 29, 1959, to Emma McCall Allen and Willie Allen,both of Brookhaven.

He was a construction worker for DiVinney Construction. Hegraduated from Brookhaven High School and attended Co-Lin. He was amember of Mt. Zion MB Church.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Gloria Johnson Allen; andone grandchild.

Survivors are his parents; his daughter, CaSheaka Johnson ofMonticello; his sons, LaPatrick Johnson and LaTravis Johnson, bothof Monticello; his sisters, Ethel Allen, Stephanie Allen, andFrances Allen, all of Brookhaven; his brothers, John Allen ofBrookhaven and Stan Allen of Bremerton, Wash.; two grandchildren;and a host of nieces and nephews.
