Services for Bishop Richardson Jr. of Wiggins, formerly ofBrookhaven, are 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at St. Paul MissionaryBaptist Church with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon to 6 p.m., with family hour from6-7 p.m., at Williams Mortuary
Mr. Richardson, 81, died Aug. 17, 2003, at Azalea GardensNursing Home in Wiggins. He was born in Brookhaven on July 14,1922, to Bishop Richardson Sr., and Gladys Richardson.
He was a retired car detailer for Slay Motors. He was a graduateof Alexander High School and an Army veteran. He was a member ofSt. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, EvaRichardson; his daughter, Pauline Richardson; two sisters, AnnieRuth Davis and Jean Richardson; and two brothers, Paul Richardsonand Isaiah Richardson.
Survivors are his daughters, Annette Richardson Jones andDarlene Graham, both of Brookhaven; his sons, Cornelius Richardson,Paul Edward Richardson, Sylvester Richardson, ChristopherRichardson and Raymond Dixon, all of Brookhaven, and John EdwardDixon of Champaign, Ill.; his sisters, Hazel Burkes of Michigan andAlma Barrette of California; his brother, Robert Earl Richardson ofBrookhaven; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host ofnieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
