Services for Kay Applewhite Arceneaux of Lafayette, La., arenoon Thursday, Aug. 21, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with burialin Calvary Cemetery. The Rev. Jules M. Arceneaux, pastor of St.Catherine Catholic Church in Arnaudville, will be the celebrant ofthe funeral mass and will conduct funeral services. Soloists willbe Jodi Bollich and Dirk Arceneaux.
Visitation is Wednesday from 6-9 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m.- noon at Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette. Arosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Arceneaux, 73, died Aug. 18, 2003, at Lafayette GeneralMedical Center Hospital.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Community and was anative of Brookhaven.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Eldridge and KatieJohnson Applewhite; her husband, Donald James Arceneaux; a son,Andre Jean Arceneaux; and her sister, Amelie Cole.
Survivors are her daughters, Denise A. Jacques and her spouse,George J., of Lafayette, La., Katie A. Barrilleaux and her spouse,Tom, of Lafayette, Ellen A. Rosenzweig and her spouse, Mark, ofMetairie, La., and Judy Arabie of Lafayette; her sons, Donald JamesArceneaux Jr., of Lafayette, and John R. Arceneaux and his spouse,Renee, of Arvada, Co.; her grandchildren, Glenn Arceneaux and hisspouse, Dana, Michael Arceneaux and his spouse, Michelle andMatthew Arceneaux, Christopher, Stephen and Aimee Jacques, AllisonHebert and her spouse, Kelly, Tommy Barrilleaux, Cory Bordelon andhis spouse, Kim, Ben Bordelon, Tyler Arceneaux, AlexandraRosenzweig, Jennifer and Megan Arceneaux and Thomas Arabie; hergreat-grandchildren, Abby and Josie Blair Arceneaux, CarsonArceneaux, Brandon and Haley Hebert, and Brett, Dylan and ZacharyBordelon.
Pallbearers are Glenn Arceneaux, Christopher Jacques, MichaelArceneaux, Stephen Jacques, Matthew Arceneaux, Thomas Barrilleaux,Cory Bordelon, Ben Bordelon, Thomas Arabie and Tyler Arceneaux.Honorary pallbearers are Alfred Arceneaux, Rex A. Cole, TommyBarrilleaux, George Jacques and Mark Rosenzweig.
