Services for Edna Mae Tillman of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Friday,Aug. 8, at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon – 6 p.m., at Williams Mortuary,and Friday from 1-2 p.m., at the church.

Mrs. Tillman, 89, died Aug. 3, 2003, at Silver Cross NursingCenter. She was born in Pike County on Feb. 28, 1914, to the Rev.William “Ed” Smith and Lillie Herrington Smith.

She was retired, and was a graduate of Gulledge High School inBrookhaven. She was a member of Damascus Missionary BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, Eva NellTillman; a son, Joe Harvey Tillman; three sisters, Juanita Smith,Lucille McCloud and Geneva McGee; and three brothers, BenjaminFranklin Smith, William Edward Smith and Ennis Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Charles Tillman of Milwaukee, Wis.,Steve Tillman of Brookhaven, John Albert Tillman of Jackson, andRobert Curtis Tillman of Pickens; her sisters, Thelma Dixon ofBrookhaven, and Ina Thompson of Milwaukee; her brothers, BillySmith of Phoenix, Ariz., and Alcus Smith of Milwaukee; 10grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
