Services for Thomas James “T.J.” Cole of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, July 12, at Tyler Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon – 5 p.m., at the funeralhome.

Mr. Cole, 80, died July 6, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Franklin County on May 23, 1923, to LloydCole and Almeta Cameron Cole.

He was a former carpenter. He was a member of Christian SpringsBaptist Church in McCall Creek.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his twin brother,L.J.

Survivors are his wife, Ella Mae Merchant Cole of Brookhaven;his daughters, Dorothy Cameron of Katy, Texas, and FeleciaMerchant, Kim Brown and Lisa Taylor, all of Brookhaven; his sons,Robert Merchant and Calvin Merchant, both of Brookhaven; hissisters, Irene Bryant of Brookhaven, and Tangin Allen Bonds ofVirginia; his brother, George Edward Cole of Utah; sevengrandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
