A private memorial service for Elsie Moodie Haley was held ather home in Columbus. Burial will take place in Friendship Cemeteryin Columbus at a later date.

Mrs. Haley, 91, died June 26, 2003 at her home, which waslovingly known as “Riverhaven.” She was born in Brookhaven to FrankBoyce and Margaret McGrath Moodie.

A native of Brookhaven, she was a former dance instructor andhomemaker. She attended the University of Mississippi. She was alongstanding member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, FrederickMcDonnell Haley Sr.; and her grandson, Haley Randolph Ball.

Survivors are her sons, Fred Haley of Columbus; her daughters,Kay Haley Carr of Columbus, Margie Haley Ball of Vicksburg, andSuzanne Haley Tannehill of Clyde, N.C.; and nine grandchildren and13 great-grandchildren.
