Services for William “Dickie” Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, May 17, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inNew Prospect Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m., at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mr. Smith, 48, died May 15, 2003 at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Port Sulfur, La., on Jan. 14, 1955, toWilliam V. “Dub” Smith and Mavis Richardson Smith.

He was a welder and pipe fitter. He was a mason.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Melanie R. Smith of Brookhaven; hissons, Daniel Smith and Derrick Smith, both of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Lauren Smith of Brookhaven; his sisters, Joy Jordan andJan Smith, both of Jackson, and a number of nieces and nephews.
