Services for Eugenia “Jeannie” Kyzar Smith of Gonzales, La., are10 a.m., Saturday, March 22, at New Prospect Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery. Dr. Ken Kirk will conduct theservices.
Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Homeand Saturday at the church from 8 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Smith, 68, died March 19, 2003, at Our Lady of the LakeRegional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was a native ofJackson.
She was a retired department store purchaser.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence Albert andEvie Herring Kyzar; and her husband, Roy Gene Smith.
Survivors are her daughters, Ginger and husband Al McCluer ofMadison, Melba and husband Brent Braud of Gonzales; her sister,Gladys and husband Cletus Scroggs of Brookhaven; her grandchildren,Amber Braud, John Givens, Matthew and Conner McCluer, and LaurenMarie Braud; her aunt, Bernice Porter; her nieces and nephews,Claude Ray and Debbie Smith, Janice and Ray Allen, Jerry Glen andSandy Smith; and numerous cousins.
