Services for the Rev. Kermit Grammer of Wesson are 10 a.m.,Friday, March 14, at Wesson Baptist Church with graveside servicesat 2 p.m. at Mantachie Cemetery in Mantachie.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home andFriday from 9-10 a.m. at the church.

The Rev. Grammer, 84, died March 12, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Itawamba County on Feb. 28, 1919, toJody Lee Grammer and Alma Estell Allred Grammer.

He was a retired pastor of numerous churches. He was retiredfrom Union Gas with 37 years service. He was a member of WessonBaptist Church. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was chaplain ofPost 79 of American Legion and of the 50+ Club. He was a member ofthe Mississippi Sheriff and Peace Officers Association and ofnumerous civic organizations.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, WilmaGrammer; his son, James Grammer; and his granddaughter, SandraMichelle Segers.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Ann Beall Grammer of Wesson; hisson, Gary W. Grammer of Port Gibson; his stepson, Willard Lee Beallof Trussville, Ala.; his stepdaughter, Mary A. Kimbrough ofGreenwood; his sister, Melba Lucas of Mooreville; and threegrandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and sevengreat-grandchildren.
