Services for Elma Murray Cothren of Meadville were 11 a.m.,Friday, Jan. 10, at Siloam Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Franklin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cothren, 96, died Jan. 8, 2003, at Franklin MemorialHospital. She was born in Franklin County on April 12, 1906, toThomas Alfred Murray and Lucie Bilbo Murray.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Siloam BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Lon NolanCothren; and three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors are her daughter, Laverne Stroud of Meadville; herspecial friends, Annie Laura Sumrall and Janice Bilbo, both ofMeadville, and a host of nieces and nephews.
