Services for Modena Hester Holcomb of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Nov. 2, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in HickoryRidge Cemetery in Rankin County.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Holcomb, 86, died Oct. 27, 2002, at Beverly Health Care.She was born in Terry on Jan. 25, 1916, to Archie Hester andVirginia Turnage Hester.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnessesfaith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ErnestMelvin Holcomb; and her grandson, Melvin Farnham.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Freddie FarnhamCarney and Duane of Byram, Sarah Holcomb Dines and Charles ofBellevue, Wash., and Mary Martha Baskin and Douglas of Brookhaven;her sister, Mary Alice Hamblin of Houston; her grandchildren, DebraFallin, Vicky Fitzpatrick, Joe Farnham, Sean Farnham, LaurenNations, Lisa Lucara, Leah Bowen, Kimberly Faust, Brian Baskin,Andre Baskin, and Gabriel Baskin; and 22 great-grandchildren andtwo great-great-grandchildren.
