Services for Ava Irene Watts of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Oct. 12, at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Watts, 81, died Oct. 10, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 24, 1921, to PearlieSmith and Louella Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Friendship BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J. W.Watts; her brother, Hollis Smith; and her sister, Ruthie DunnSmith.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and BeverlyWatts of Brookhaven; her sister, Ruby Lofton of Bogue Chitto; herbrother, Hughlon Smith of Baton Rouge; her grandchildren, RandyWatts, Melissa Smith, Dana Alexander, and Reggie Watts, all ofBrookhaven; her great-grandchildren, Matthew Alexander, HannahWatts, Cole Watts, Jessica Hart, Devan Smith, Myranda Watts, andDylan Watts, all of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces andnephews.
