Services for Jennie Ann Coon of Summit are 3 p.m., Wednesday,July 3, at Catchings Funeral Home Chapel with burial in HollywoodCemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon untilservice time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Coon, 49, died June 30, 2002, at her daughter’s residencein Bogue Chitto. She was born in Meridian on June 3, 1953, to RolfS. Murphy and A. Virginia Graham Wilson.

She was a secretary for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. She was agraduate of Delgado Community College. She was a member of FaithFamily Church in Watson, La., and a former member of East McCombBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her father, her grandfather, T. B.Graham; her grandmother, Eva Champion Freeman; and herstepgrandfather, Will Freeman.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather,Richard Wilson of Magnolia; her husband, Steve Coon of Jayess; herdaughters, Jennifer Cassandra “Cassie” Hill of Bogue Chitto, AngelaMichelle Atwell of Denham Springs, and Stacie Lynn Farrow ofGulfport; her brothers, James E. Murphy of McComb and Harry E.Bates Jr. of Magnolia; her sisters, Cynthia Lynn Bates King ofJonesboro, Ga., Julie Hart of Hogchain, and Sally S. Beebe ofBrookhaven; and four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews andother family.
