Services for Bobby Gene Martin of Monticello are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, June 26, at Monticello First Baptist Church with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-6 p.m. at Tyler Funeral Home andWednesday at the church from 1 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Martin, 69, died June 21, 2002, at Lawrence County NursingCenter. He was born in Lawrence County on April 2, 1933, to DavidMartin and Vester Griffin Martin.

He was a former lumber handler at the sawmill in Monticello. Hewas a member of Monticello First Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary Martin;his son, Jerry Martin; his brother, Jerry Martin; and his sister,Henrietta Brown.

Survivors are his brothers, David Martin II and Walter Martin,both of Salt Lake City, Utah; his sisters, Janet Peyton, LauraEley, and Juanita Brown, all of Monticello; and a host of niecesand nephews.
