Services for Wessie Lee Travis of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Thursday, March 14, at Lucien Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home andThursday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Travis, 88, died March 12, 2002, at Silver Cross NursingHome. She was born in Franklin County on Nov. 2, 1913, to John R.Smith and Ella Strait Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Lucien BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, CadeMonroe Travis; her brothers, Bill Smith, Leon Smith, and Ed Smith;her sister, Alma Smith; and her daughter-in-law, Nan Travis.
Survivors are her son, Cade Travis Jr. of Picayune; herdaughters and sons-in-law, Iva Pearl and Frank Calcote of McCallCreek and Margarette and Joe Newsom of Brookhaven; her brothers,Earl Smith, Donald Smith, and Roy Smith, all of Natchez; hersisters, Velma Allen of Brookhaven and Ella Mae Dunnigan ofNatchez; her grandchildren, Rita Long, Janet Carlock, ChrisCalcote, Bruce Calcote, Greg Travis, Jeff Travis, and Renee Pope;and 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
