in preseason poll

The Copiah-Lincoln Community College baseball team in rankedfourth in the National Junior College Athletic Association’sDivision II Preseason Poll. The Co-Lin Wolves, coached by KeithCase, finished 34-28 last season, winning the Region 23 Tournamentand reaching the central district finals.

Co-Lin starts its season Friday, hosting Mississippi Delta for a3 p.m. single game. On Saturday, the Wolves will host EastMississippi for a single 9-inning game, starting at 1 p.m.

Jefferson Davis (Ala.) was ranked No. 1 in the preseason pollafter going 42-18 last year. Illinois Valley was second and Phoenix(Ariz.) was third. Frederick (Md.) was fifth and Carl Albert(Okla.) was sixth. Iowa Central, Parkland (Ill.) and Rhode Islandrounded out the Top Ten.
