Services for Irene G. Smith of Monticello are 11 a.m., Friday,Feb. 1, at Shiloh Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith, 93, died Jan. 30, 2002, at Lawrence County NursingCenter. She was born in Sontag on Feb. 6, 1908, to Matthew and EttaRembrandt Gibson.

She was a retired seamstress with Monticello Manufacturing. Shewas a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, KirbySmith.

Survivors are her sons, Jack Smith and Floyd Smith, both ofSontag; her daughters, Ernestine Minton of Venice, La., and FrancesEasterling of Sontag; and 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren,and nine great-great-grandchildren.
