Services for Mattie Evans Godbold of Eddiceton were 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with burial inEddiceton Cemetery.

Mrs. Godbold, 95, died Dec. 30, 2001, at Franklin MemorialHospital. She was born in Eddiceton on Aug. 2, 1906, to CharlesMonroe Evans and Roena Clementine Scott Evans.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bude BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her sons, Charles Evans Godbold of Natchez, andPeyton Earl Godbold Jr. and Philip Godbold, both of Eddiceton; andeight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and onegreat-great-grandchild.
