Services for Claude Alton Griffin of Roxie were 11 a.m.,Thursday, Nov. 29, at Bude Church of God with burial in MidwayCemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Griffin, 76, died Nov. 27, 2001, at Natchez Regional MedicalCenter. He was born in Bude on March 6, 1925, to Willie MartinGriffin and Ida Nell Case Griffin.
He was a retired machine oiler for International Paper Companyin Natchez. He was a member of Bude Church of God. He was an Armyveteran of WWII.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, PaulW. Griffin.
Survivors are his wife, Marie Mount Griffin of Roxie; his sonsand daughter-in-law, Claude Alton Griffin Jr. of Roxie and WillieWhitlock and Liz Griffin of Hamburg; his daughters and sons-in-law,Helen Diane and Jim Smith of Roxie, Janith Marie and Tony Smith andMary Edna and Lewis Smith, all of Meadville, and Toni Pamela andStanley Murray of Monterrey, La.; and 15 grandchildren, 14great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
