A six-year-old boy was hit by a car Thursday afternoon in anaccident in the Brignall community, authorities said.

Jarvis Henry, of 690 Brown’s Loop, was struck by a car after hetripped while approaching the road, according to the accidentreport with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. The accidenthappened around 3:45 p.m.

Travis McDaniel, of 329 South Hamilton St., had been visiting at97 Haven Road. McDaniel’s 1991 Mitsubishi hit the boy after he leftthe residence, according to the report.

Henry was taken to King’s Daughters Medical Center. Informationon his condition was unavailable but a deputy at the sceneindicated his injuries were minor.

McDaniel was cited for driving with no insurance, the accidentreport said.
