Services for Howard Asa Hoggatt of Brookhaven are 3:30 p.m.Monday, Oct. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 7, from 5-9 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 8,from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Hoggatt, 70, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at St. Dominic’sHospital in Jackson. He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 8,1931, to the late Robert Solon and Myrtle Eva Rutland Hoggatt.

He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member ofFirst Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers,Fred, Gerald and Robert Shelby Hoggatt.

Survivors are his wife, Helen James Hoggatt of Brookhaven; sonsand daughter-in-law, William Lance and Penny Hoggatt of Enid,Okla., and Larry Ralph Hoggatt of Brookhaven; sister, KathrineRatcliff of Laurel; and seven grandchildren.
