Services for Richard Washington of Brookhaven are 2:30 p.m.,Saturday, Aug. 11, at Tyler Funeral Home Chapel with burial inLittle Rock Church Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is Friday from 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Washington, 26, died Aug. 4, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center of a gunshot wound. He was born in Brookhaven onJune 27, 1975.

He was a material handler at Wal-Mart Distribution. He was amember of Friendship M. B. Church.

Survivors are his parents, Norris B. Miller and Birdean MotleyMiller of Brookhaven; his wife, LaShonda Jointer Washington ofAlexandria, La.; his brothers, Sammie, Charles, Carl, George,William, and Thomas Washington, all of Brookhaven, WalterWashington of Turkey, and David Washington of Hammond, La.; hissister, Cynthia Washington of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces andnephews.
