Services for James Curtis “Jimmy” Thomas of Meadville are 2p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Sarepta Baptist Church with burial inUnion Church Cemetery in Jefferson County.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Franklin Funeral Home.
Mr. Thomas, 63, died July 30, 2001, at his residence. He wasborn in Franklin County on March 20, 1938, to Curt Thomas andMaggie Cannon Thomas.
He was a retired offshore oil worker. He was a member of SareptaBaptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was an Air Forceveteran.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his wife, Jane Vernette Thomas of Meadville; hissons, Rosco Thomas and Art Thomas, both of Meadville; his daughter,Vivian Cater of Wesson; his mother, Maggie Thomas of Knoxville; hissisters, Sarah Benoit of Brusly, La., Mary Katherine Larkin ofBude, and Lona Thomas of Knoxville; and five grandchildren.
