Graveside services for C. C. Douglas Jr. of Convent, La., are 1p.m., Thursday, July 5, at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. atHarrigill Funeral Home.

Mr. Douglas, 78, died July 1, 2001, at St. James ParishHospital. He was born in Lincoln County on April 7, 1923, to C. C.Douglas Sr. and Alma Clara Wright Douglas.

He was a retired foreman for Freeport MCMORAN Inc. He was amember of VFW Post #5852 in Lutcher, La., and Mason-Triumph Lodge#422 F&AM in Buras, La. He was a veteran of WWII. He was amember of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ruby NellDouglas; and his grandchild, Jennifer Douglas.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Dale D. Douglas Sr.and Susan Douglas of Ponchatoula, La., and Steve R. Douglas andGail Douglas of Gonzales, La.; his brother, Willie C. Douglas ofShreveport; his sister, Christine Hubbs of Baton Rouge; and fivegrandchildren.
