Services for Kenneth O. Dixon Sr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, April 14, at Hopewell M. B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 8 p.m., with the wake from7-8 p.m., at Tyler Funeral Home.
Mr. Dixon, 35, died April 7, 2001, at Earl K. Long MemorialHospital in Baton Rouge. He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 19,1966, to Leodies Dixon and Ruby Nell Holloway Dixon.
He was a truck driver for McLane Southern Distribution. He was amember of Hopewell M. B. Church, where he was president of theUsher Board, a deacon, field superintendent of Sunday SchoolInstitute of Lincoln, Lawrence, and Adjoining Counties, andsuperintendent of Sunday school.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his wife, Valerie Coleman Dixon of Brookhaven; hismother, Ruby Nell Holloway Dixon of Brookhaven; his sons, KennethOtis Dixon Jr., LeKendrick Dixon, Keon Coleman, and KendellNickelson, all of Brookhaven; his daughters, Kenyatta Coleman andKentrell Coleman, both of Brookhaven; his brother, Lee Edward Dixonof Abilene, Texas; his sister, Addie Joy Dillon of Brookhaven; anda host of nieces and nephews.
