Services for Rilla Adams of Brookhaven are 11 a.m., Saturday,Feb. 3, at Beulah Chapel M. B. Church with burial in HillcrestCemetery.
Visitation is today from noon until 7 p.m. with the wake servicefrom 6-7 p.m. at Tyler Funeral Home.
Ms. Adams, 66, died Jan. 29, 2001, of cardiopulmonary arrest ather residence. She was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 27, 1934, to JohnAdams Sr. and Charity Hills Adams. She was a graduate of AlexanderHigh School. She resided in Chicago for 44 years before returningto Brookhaven.
She was a lab technician with Sherwin Williams in Chicago. Shewas a member of Beulah Chapel M. B. Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, John AdamsJr.; and her daughter, Sheila.
Survivors are her brother, Wiley Adams of Brookhaven; hersisters, Louella Parker of Brookhaven and Lucretia Hardwick ofChicago; and a host of nieces and nephews.
David D. Carmical Sr.
Services for David D. Carmical Sr. of Wesson are 2 p.m., Sunday,Feb. 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New SightCemetery.
Visitation is Saturday from 4-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.
Mr. Carmical, 65, died Feb. 1, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center.He was born in Calhoun County on April 10, 1935, to David Z. L.Carmical and Mattie Bell Myles Carmical.
He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Mt. MoriahBaptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Steven Allen;and his granddaughter, Danielle Mary Catherine.
Survivors are his wife, Catherine Carmical of Wesson; his sons,David Carmical Jr. and wife Melodie, and James Carmical and wifeLynn, all of Brookhaven, and Kenneth Carmical and wife Charlene ofRogers, Ark.; his daughters, Connie Thornton and husband Jimmy ofNewton, and Theresa Higginbotham and husband Chad of Brookhaven;his brother, Luther Carmical of Pearl; his sister, Dorothy Carmicalof McCall Creek; his grandchildren, Hope Carmical, HeatherCarmical, David Carmical, Jamie Carmical, David Atchinson, JimmyThompson, Darrell Thompson, Nikki Thornton, Tony Thornton, CodyThornton, Alaina West, and Walker Higginbotham; and hisgreat-grandchildren, Joey Atchinson and Kaitlin Atchinson.

Services for Julia Bell Fairman of Brookhaven are 1 p.m. Friday,Feb. 2, at Concord Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.
Mrs. Fairman, 71, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at King’sDaughters Medical Center. She was born in Jackson on July 11, 1929,to the late Gus and Alice Ratcliff Fairman.
She was disabled.
Survivors are her cousins Bill and Ann Cowart of McCall Creekand a host of other cousins.
Willie Patt
Services for Willie Patt of McComb are 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3,at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pike MemorialGardens.

Mr. Patt, 76, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, of a heart attack atSoutwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. He was born in AmiteCounty on Feb. 29, 1924, to the late Willie Patt Sr. and SusieOwens Patt Etheridge.
He was the former owner and operator of Patt’s LawnmowerService, Patt’s Texaco Service and formerly worked for GeneralElectric in Plainville, Con. He was a member of Pearl River AvenueUnited Methodist Church. He worked with the Plainville FireDepartment and was a member of United Commercial Travelers. He wasa U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Thomason,and was a member of VFW Post #570.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Harry LeePatt; and a half-sister, Doris Denman.
Survivors are his wife, Sylvia M. Patt of McComb; daughters,Kathleen Pendell of Southington, Con., Judith Bass of McComb,Juanita Barlow of Gulfport and Jackie Watts of Summit;step-daughters, Gerrey Lake of Athens, Ala., and Teresa Welch ofSmithdale; brothers, James Frank Patt of Baton Rouge, La., andDonald Ray Patt of Prospect, Con.; step-brother, Eugene Etheridgeof McCall Creek; sister, Earline Ruff of Clinton; ninegrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sibley, 72, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, of respiratoryfailure at her residence. She was born in Amite County on April 5,1928, to the late Molton and Fannie Eubanks Gardner.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cockern Chapel F.B.Church, where she served as treasurer and on the Usher Board.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Scott Jr.;daughter, Annette Sibley; and two grandchildren.
Survivors are her husband, Scott Sibley Sr. of Summit; sons,Frank Sibley of Smithdale, Robert Sibley of Henderson, Ken., HenrySibley of Summit, Ellis Ray Sibley of Henderson, Ky., and JamesSibley of Summit; daughters, Bertha Young, Willie Mae Swington andChristine Lee, all of McComb, Bessie Jackson of Hammond, La., andAlice Sibley of Summit; brothers, Charles Gardner of Smithdale,James Daniels of Summit, Nelson Gardner of McComb, and RayfieldGardner, Willie Gardner and Tom Gardner, all of New Rhodes, La.;sisters, Fannie Lee Patterson of Liberty, Thelma Young of NewRhodes, La., Rosie Jackson of Smithdale and Mary Lee Gardner ofMcComb; 27 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith, 75, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at NatchezRegional Medical Center. She was born in Franklin County on June13, 1925, to the late Ernest and Lottie Foster Ratcliff.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Calvin SmithSr.; two brothers; a sister; and a grandson.
Survivors are her sons, Wesley Ratcliff and Calvin Smith Jr.;daughters, Vicky Laird, Shirley Arnold and Paulette Mullins, all ofMeadville; brothers, J.C. Ratcliff of Moselle and Benford Ratcliffof Brookhaven; sister, Mary Bankston of Columbia; ninegrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Walker, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Simpson County on July 18, 1915, tothe late Jack Willis and Liza Little Walker.
He was a farmer. He was a member of Taylor Hill M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, R.T. Walker Jr.;brothers, R.J. Walker, S.T. Walker and R.W. Walker; and agrandson.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Smith Walker of New Hebron; sons,Milton Walker and Matthew Walker, both of New Hebron, and JohnWalker and Jerry Walker, both of Jackson; daughters, Roberta WalkerThomas, Carolyn Moore, Katie Neal and Mary Willard, all of Jackson,Joann Sutton of Dallas and Georgia Walker Newsome of Monticello;brothers, L.J.
