Annie Ruth Tillotson Calhoun Hoggatt
Services for Annie Ruth Tillotson Calhoun Hoggatt of Brookhavenare 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapelwith burial in Hawkins Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hoggatt, 82, died Jan. 8, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on July 12, 1918, to OsborneTillotson and Roberta Straight Tillotson.
She was a retired bookkeeper for Oddee Smith ConstructionCompany. She was a member and past Senior Regent of the MooseLodge. She was a member of Hawkins Chapel United MethodistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are her sons, James R. Calhoun of Brookhaven and JerryO. Calhoun of Brandon; her sister, Gertie Smith of Brookhaven; hergrandchildren, Jason, Chris, and Mike Calhoun; and onegreat-grandchild.
William Jackson Vance
Services for William Jackson Vance of Natchez were held Monday,Jan. 8, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Natchez with burialin the Utica City Cemetery. Laird Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Vance, 86, died Jan. 5, 2001, at Natchez RegionalHospital.
Among his survivors are his granddaughter, Emily SmithHenderson, and her husband, Carlisle Henderson, both ofBrookhaven.
James Edward Wroten Sr.
Services for James Edward Wroten Sr. of Meadville are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Jan. 11, at O’Zion Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Franklin Funeral Home.
Mr. Wroten, 67, died Jan. 9, 2001, at his residence. He was bornin Natchez on April 28, 1933, to James Owen Wroten and Winnie EvansWroten.
He was a brick mason. He was a member of O’Zion Baptist Church.He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, AltonWroten.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Smith Wroten of Meadville; his sonand daughter-in-law, James Edward Wroten Jr. and Vonda Wroten ofMcCall Creek; his daughter and son-in-law, Callie Owen and VinceOwen of Meadville; his sisters, Elaine Hutto and Evelyn Dillon,both of Meadville; and eight grandchildren.
