Ada Case Evans
Services for Ada Case Evans of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Thursday,Dec. 21, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MacedoniaBaptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 5-9 p.m. and Thursdayfrom 8 a.m. until service time at Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Mrs. Evans, 76, died Dec. 19, 2000, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on May 29, 1923, toGus Case and Betty Smith Case.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, BrockParson Evans; her infant daughter, Venturia; her sisters, RuthCase, Jessie Arrington, Gladys Allgood, and Clara V. Ballard; andher brother, James Case.
Survivors are her son, David Evans of Brookhaven; her daughters,Betty Jones of Prentiss, Sharon Calhoun of Brookhaven, and NancySutton of Bogue Chitto; her sisters, Bessie Smith and Gussie Smith,both of Brookhaven; and 13 grandchildren and 14great-grandchildren.
Julia Estell Pearson
Graveside services for Julia Estell Pearson of Madison are 2p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, at Montgomery Cemetery.
Nowell-Flippen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pearson, 99, died Dec. 19, 2000, at Belhaven Nursing Homein Jackson. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County.
She was a retired store clerk for Virilia Grocery Store with 33years service.
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Jo Roberts.
Survivors are her daughter, Joy Phillips of Wesson; and sixgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Alicia R. Smith
Graveside services for Alicia R. Smith of Pass Christian arenoon, Friday, Dec. 22, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith, 95, died Dec. 16, 2000, at Jamestown, Ky. She wasborn in Merida, Mexico, to Polycarpo Rivas and Elvira FortunatRivas.
She was a retired seamstress trainer. She was a member of St.Paul Catholic Church in Pass Christian.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and her son, JuanSmith.
Survivors are her daughter-in-law, Ana Smith of Boling Green,Ky.; her sister, Nelly Flores of Chicago; and three grandchildrenand six great-grandchildren.
