Three injured in wreck

BOGUE CHITTO — A head-on collision Sunday afternoon on CalvaryDrive left three Bogue Chitto residents hospitalized, with one incritical condition, according to authorities.

Richard Tate McCaffery, 27, and his wife, Casey, 26, both of 334Calvary Drive, were seriously injured when their 1999 Toyota pickup truck was struck by a 1994 Dodge Dakota. The truck was driven byWilliam C. Case, 51, of 1779 Calvary Drive, according to theaccident report at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

Casey McCaffery, who was six months pregnant, lost her baby andsuffered major damage to the pelvic area. She was transferred toUniversity Medical Center, where she was put in the Intensive CareUnit. An update on her condition was unavailable Monday morningfrom UMC.

Tate McCaffery and Case were transferred to King’s DaughtersMedical Center, where they were listed in stable condition thismorning.

Authorities are still investigating the details surrounding theaccident, but have noted that no skid marks have been found.

The accident occurred approximately one and a half miles fromBogue Chitto Road around 1 p.m. Sunday, according to the accidentreport.
