Brittany Florence Claypool, of Brookhaven, and Nicholas Devoy Thompson, of Brookhaven were united in marriage on May 31, 2014, at 5 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Blaine Claypool Jr., of Vicksburg, and Angela Taylor Stephens, of Pearl. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Loranzy Taylor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Blaine Claypool Sr.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Earl Thompson, of Brookhaven. He is the grandson of Yvonne Smith Burns and the late Albert Devoy Burns, of Brookhaven, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Donald Thompson.

The revs. Mark Rowlen and Floyd Higginbothan officiated the ceremony. Wedding director was Jana Sullivan Chao, of Clinton.

Music was provided by Debbie Smith, pianist; and Rachel Gatlin, organist. Vocalists were Chuck and Courtney Owens and David Thompson. Scripture reader was Alison Jordan.

Serving as matron of honor was Abby Claypool Branch, of Columbus. Bridesmaids were Candice Ellison Hester, of Benton, Arkansas, Lee Claypool Pambianchi, of Brandon, Samantha Holly Claypool, of Vicksburg, and Stacey Stinson Clark, of Mobile, Alabama.

The proxy bride was Olivia Greer, of Brookhaven.

Flower girl was Ella Sarah Williams, of Brookhaven.

Best man was David Earl Thompson, of Brookhaven. Groomsmen were Holland Hilton Greer, Jackie Kyle Williams, Dustin Trent Jordan and Randall Scott Prather, all of Brookhaven.

Ring bearer was Noah Ranzey Bolton, of Vicksburg.

Ushers were Douglas Bruce Branch, of Columbus, and Dustin Louis Pambianchi, of Brandon.

The greeters were Toni Moore Benton, of Wesson, and Dorothy Blaine Claypool, of Starkville. Program attendants were Amanda Renee Shelton, of Columbus, and Deana Diane Middleton, of Hattiesburg.

An engagement party was hosted by Dustin and Alison Jordan and Kyle and Ashley Williams. An around the house shower was hosted by Dianne Hathorn, Courtney Owens, Abby Branch, Samantha Claypool, Lee Pambianchi and Candi Hester. Two miscellaneous showers were held. The first was held by Marilyn Greer, Betty Jo Smith and Ashley Williams. The second was held by the ladies of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple has made their home in Brookhaven. The bride is employed at Region 8 Mental Health, and the groom is employed at Paul Jackson & Son, Inc.
