Jo Pearl Avants Allen was born on June 30, 1928, and died July 8, 2014. She was the wife of Cecil; mother of Beth “Jeff,” Gina “Gil,” and Lucy; grandmother of Allen, Jess “Amy,” and Walt; sister of Aline.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 10, 2014, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven. A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, July 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson.
