Johnny and Leslie Smith, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Anna Smith, of Brookhaven to Joshua Britt, of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Bruce and Rene Britt, of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter Gerald Burke and the late Etta Burke, of Wesson, and J.C. and Peggy Smith, of Brookhaven.

He is the grandson of the late Robert and Nelda Weeks, of Brookhaven, and the late J.B. and Henrietta Britt, of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Loyd Star. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism with an emphasis in film and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Christian education with a family ministry concentration in 2011. She is currently employed at the Lincoln County School District.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Loyd Star. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in broadcast communication. He is currently employed with the United States Marine Corps.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m., Friday, July 4, 2013, at Mount Zion Baptist Church.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
