Landon Nettles is taking his baseball talents to the next level. Brookhaven Academy’s catcher has signed a baseball scholarship with the Jones County Community Junior College Bobcats.

Nettles signed his official scholarship papers Tuesday in the Brookhaven Academy Library. He is the son of Michael and Denise Nettles.

Landon mentioned that he is considering a career in engineering.

As a senior, Nettles is batting a .506 for the Cougars. He is currently posting 34 RBIs, 1 triple, 14 doubles and 7 home runs.

“He has been the absolute definition of hustle,” said Brookhaven Academy coach Casey Edwards. “He is a great senior leader that any coach could ask for. I see him doing big things at the next level. He will be greatly missed and difficult to replace.”
