A Saturday accident sent one person to University Medical Center for treatment, said Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing.

The accident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on East Lincoln Road near Plez Drive. A motorcycle traveling south on East Lincoln Road struck a pickup traveling north, Rushing said.

The driver of the pickup was not injured, but the driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to UMC, according to Rushing. Further details were not available Saturday night.
