LONG BEACH – The Ole Brook Panthers traveled to the coast to take on Long Beach in the third round of the state playoff tennis race Tuesday, defeating the Bearcats 5-2 and advancing to the South State finals.

Brookhaven is currently waiting on their next opponent to finish their match to determine whether or not they will be traveling or hosting the 5A South State championship.

Brookhaven’s Madison Currie was victorious in her girls singles matchup against Long Beach. In the No. 1 boys doubles’ contest, Braxton Hinton and Jacob Bozeman teamed up to knock off the Bearcats.

Ole Brook’s No. 1 and No. 2 girls doubles team swept their events. In mixed doubles action, Sarah Grace Evans and Daniel Panzica secured the final victory for the Panthers.
