A memorial service for Michael “Big Mike” Wayne Fairchild of Brookhaven is 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in Brookhaven. The Rev. Vernon Watts and Angelo Herrera will be officiating. Tutor Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fairchild, 58, died March 13, 2014. He was born on Jan. 5, 1956, to Willie “Bill” and Agnes Fairchild.

Mike was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. The family invites those who knew him to join in the celebration of his life.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Gregory Dale Fairchild, and sister, Terri Nan Fairchild.

Survivors are one brother, Phillip Craven Fairchild (Marie) of Brookhaven; one sister, Karen Smith (Joe) of Magee; nephews, B.J. Ainsworth (Kayla), Willie Ainsworth (Deena), Christopher Dickerson (Heather), Cody Dickerson (Kelly); nieces, Kristi Ainsworth (Scooter), Kayla Johnson (Chris); four great nephews; seven great nieces; and longtime best friend, Sylvia Partridge.
