Holiday Closings

In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the following offices will be closed:

• Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will close Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thursday following Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

• Waste Pro will not have garbage pick-up on Christmas Day and will run the Lincoln County route on Saturday. For New Year’s they will run routes as usual.

• The U.S. Post Office in downtown Brookhaven will close at noon on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The West office will be open until 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day. The same schedule will be in place for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day with offices closing early on New Year’s Eve, noon downtown and 1 p.m. at the West station and closed New Year’s Day.

• The Mississippi Highway Patrol Driver’s License exam office will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and closed New Year’s Day.

• Brookhaven Academy will be closed from Dec. 23 through Jan. 6.

• Brookhaven, Copiah County and Franklin County schools will be closed from Dec. 23 through Jan. 7.

• Lawrence and Lincoln County schools will be closed Dec. 20 through Jan. 6.

• Mississippi School of the Arts and Copiah-Lincoln Community College will close Dec. 20 through Jan. 6. Co-Lin will have student orientation on Jan. 7.

• Brookhaven city offices will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1.

• Monticello offices will close at noon Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, noon New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

• Bude and Meadville offices will be closed noon Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, at noon New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

• Wesson offices will close Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

• Franklin and Lawrence and county offices will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

• Lincoln and Copiah county offices will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
