The Lady Cats (9-2) and the Lady Jackets (3-7) fought hard in a defensive battle in the first quarter, before BC caught fire in the second quarter to claim a 34-17 lead at halftime.

In the second half, BC continue their scoring onslaught as they clobbered Enterprise 34-14 to coast to the win.

Sophomore forward Karlie Williams contributed 14 points to help direct the Lady Cats. Zariah Matthews provided 11 points. Christian Black was the leader on the board for BC with six rebounds.

“We shot the ball extremely well and played great defensively,” said BC coach Christi Terrell. “Enterprise played hard. Overall, I was proud of the girls for executing our offensive and defensive game plan the whole game.”

Megan Rippy paced the Lady Jackets’ offense and led on the boards with 10 points and five rebounds.

“We have to shoot the ball better,” said Enterprise coach Jill Nations. “Bogue Chitto has a very athletic team. We can not make a lot of turnovers and suspect to win games.”

In a high scoring defensive battle, the Bobcats (2-9) out muscle the Jackets (7-3) for their second win of the season.

Senior forward Dennis Rogers led the charge for the Bobcats with 20 points. Damien Terrell contributed 18 points. Eli Holmes had 11 points. Jeremiah Perkins lead BC on the boards with seven rebounds.

“This was a much needed win,” said BC coach Mark Pitts. “Enterprise has a very good team. Hopefully this win can be our building block toward district.”

Junior guard John Gray was the offensive leader for the Jackets with a game-high 23 points and five rebounds. Dewayne Pendleton chipped in with 19 points and had six rebounds.

“Bogue Chitto shot the ball well and played hard,” said Enterprise coach John Knight. “We have got to do a better job moving the ball around on offense instead of settling on the first shot opportunity.”
