Funeral services for Odie Beecroft Bridges Sr. are 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, at Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Harrisville with the Rev. Carnell Bridges officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Bridges, 72, died Nov. 2, 2013, in St. Louis, Mo. He was born in Harrisville on June 27, 1941, to Cora Catchings and Lee Odie Bridges.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Ossie Mae Brown, Geraldine Washington, Annie Mae Johnson and Berniece Jones; and brother, Curtis Bridges.

Survivors is his daughter, Katrina Bridges (Ronald) Hines, of Brookhaven, son, Odie (Adrienne) Bridges Jr., of Florence; grandchildren, LaRon Hines, of Brookhaven, J’hari House, of Hazlehurst, Elizabeth Bridges, of Brandon, and Ariana Bridges, of Florence; sisters, Hazel Thomas, of New Orleans, and Marie (Harold) Banks, of Pinola; brothers, Eugene (Mary) Bridges, of New Orleans, Arthur (Addie Sue) Bridges of Crystal Springs, and Fred Barnes, of Chicago; special family friends, Ceceila Johnson, Velda Warren and Vanessa Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
