Investigators with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the Lincoln County Coroner’s office and the Brookhaven police have all contributed to the investigation, which has been noted as a “suspicious death” by Lincoln County Deputy Coroner’s Investigator, John Riggs.

Police wanted to notify the next of kin before releasing the victim’s identification to the public, said Bell.

Riggs could not be reached for comment Wednesday morning.
