Services for Joe Rhoden Scroggins of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.,Tuesday, June 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Scroggins, 89, died June 9, 2002, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Wayne County on June 26, 1912.

He was a contractor. He was a member of Brookway Church ofChrist.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Winnie Rhoden Scott; hisstepfather, Walter Scott; his sisters, Grace McCaskel and MableWallace; his half-sister, Martha Lynn Leggett; his half-brother,Marley Wayne Scott; and his granddaughter, Leigh Ann Scroggins.

Survivors are his wife, Alice Orie Brister Scroggins ofBrookhaven; his sons, Billy Joe Scroggins and wife ArleneRutherford Scroggins of Pensacola, Fla., and Ronnie Lynn Scrogginsand wife Jeralyn Boone Scroggins of Birmingham, Ala.; and onegrandson, two step-grandsons, one great-granddaughter and twostep-great-granddaughters.
